The other day, I saw a coffee mug that read "Don't quit your daydream", & before I had even finished reading the phrase, my mind had already filled in the blanks with how I anticipated the sentence would end. "Don't quit your day job". I was pleasantly surprised to see the earlier of the two options. I feel like all too often, people will encourage you to put your passion to the side in pursuit of what they consider more "rewarding" endeavors. Honestly, that just sounds so backwards to me. If your heart & soul flourish at the reality of working at your passions, let it. Do that, not the other uninteresting things that you can't stand the thought of doing. Personally, the thought doing anything other than what I love for the rest of my life is cringe worthy. I would much rather be exhausted by the pursuits of my goals & replenished by the realization of them, than exhausted by anything that doesn't enliven my soul.
